Shipping & Installation Guide

From Our Warehouse
To Your Bay

Buying a lift or tire changer should be the easy part. Here's exactly what to expect from the moment your order ships to the day it's installed and running.

How It Ships

3 Ways to Receive Your Order

Most of our equipment ships LTL (less-than-truckload) freight - rather than by small parcel (USPS, FedEx, UPS). Here are the delivery options:

Most Common

LTL to Your Door

Freight truck delivers directly to your address. You'll need appropriate unloading equipment see the unloading section below so you know what's required ahead of time.

No Unloading Equipment Needed

Terminal Pickup

Pick up from the freight carrier's local terminal at your convenience they handle the unloading for you with their own forklifts. No equipment required on your end at all.

Smoothest Experience

Ship to Your Installer

We send it directly to a professional installer. They handle delivery, unloading, and installation in one seamless step the single most convenient option available.

Delivery Day

What to Expect When the Truck Arrives

LTL freight works differently than a package delivery. Follow these four steps and you'll be in great shape.

1

You'll Get a Call to Schedule Delivery

The freight carrier will call to set a delivery window usually a 4-hour block. Make sure your contact info is current when you place your order so they can reach you.

2

Have Your Unloading Solution Ready

The driver is only required to bring the freight to the back of the truck. Getting it off is your responsibility see the unloading section below so you know what you'll need ahead of time.

3

Inspect Everything Before Signing

Open and inspect the shipment completely before the driver leaves. Note any damage on the delivery receipt even if it looks minor. This protects your freight claim rights.

Don't sign and drive away. Once you sign the delivery receipt without noting damage, filing a freight claim becomes very difficult. Take 5 minutes to open the crate and do a thorough inspection before the driver leaves.

4

Contact Us if Anything's Off

Spotted damage or a missing item? Call or email us right away we handle freight claims quickly and we're on your side. Damage noted at delivery is much easier to claim.

Unloading

What You'll Need to Unload

Not all equipment is the same. Vehicle lifts are long and heavy they require more than a standard pallet jack. Smaller shop equipment is more forgiving.

Vehicle Lifts

Forklift Always Ideal

The right tool for the job, regardless of your setup. A standard warehouse or construction forklift handles any lift we sell.

Tractor with Forks Always Ideal

A farm tractor or skid steer with fork attachments works great common on rural properties and acreages.

Loading Dock + Pallet Jack

If your shop has a loading dock at truck-bed height, a pallet jack can work you're operating at the same level as the truck floor.

Ship to Your Installer

Many installer partners can receive the shipment and bring the lift to your shop as part of the installation service

Why not a standard pallet jack? Vehicle lifts are long often 10+ feet when crated and their weight is distributed in a way that makes a standard pallet jack unsafe for unloading from a truck bed. A forklift or equivalent is required.

Tire Changers, Balancers & Shop Equipment

Forklift Always Ideal

If you have one available, a forklift is always the easiest and safest choice for any freight delivery.

Pallet Jack Works Great

Tire changers, wheel balancers, shop presses, and similar equipment ship on standard pallets a pallet jack handles them easily once off the truck.

Liftgate Service

Add liftgate to your order and the truck will lower the pallet to ground level. Then roll it in with a pallet jack. Let us know at time of order if you'd like liftgate added.

Terminal Pickup

Pick up at the carrier's terminal where forklifts are available no unloading equipment required on your end at all.

Liftgate note: Liftgate service lowers the pallet to ground level you'll still need a pallet jack or helpers to move it from there. Request it at the time of order.

FAQ

Common Questions

Quick answers to the things we get asked most about shipping, unloading, and installation.

Yes for vehicle lifts, a forklift or equivalent (tractor with forks, skid steer) is required. Lifts are too long to safely unload with a standard pallet jack unless you have a loading dock at truck-bed height. Terminal pickup is also a great option if you don't have equipment on site.
Yes tire changers, wheel balancers, shop presses, and similar equipment ship on standard pallets and a pallet jack works well. You'll still need to get the pallet off the truck first consider liftgate service if you don't have a dock or forklift available.
LTL (less-than-truckload) is how large, heavy items ship your pallet rides in a shared trailer with other shipments. Unlike a parcel carrier, the driver won't carry items to your door or unload for you. The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, typically a 4-hour block.
Inspect before signing and note any damage on the delivery receipt even if it looks minor. Then call us immediately. Damage noted at delivery is much easier to claim than damage reported after the driver has left. We handle freight claims quickly and we're on your side.
We don't do installations ourselves, but we have a nationwide network of professional installers who are very familiar with the equipment we sell. Contact us and we'll connect you with someone near you no pressure, no markup, just a straight recommendation.
Yes terminal pickup is a great option. The carrier holds your shipment at their local terminal and you pick it up at your convenience. Terminals have their own forklifts to load your vehicle, so no unloading equipment is required on your end.
