Before installing any lift, check your owner's manual for the exact concrete specs required, as they vary based on the lift's capacity, model, and configuration.
Slab Thickness
- Two Post Lifts (8,000 to 10,000 lb): plan for 4 to 4 ¼ inches minimum
- Two Post Lifts (12,000 to 15,000 lb): these heavier duty models need a 6 inch slab
- Four Post Lifts (8,000 to 14,000 lb): 4 inches minimum
Concrete Strength
A compression strength of 3,000 PSI or higher is typically required to safely handle the lift's weight and daily operation.
Anchor Embedment
Standard ¾ x 5 ½ inch anchor bolts need at least 3 ¼ inches of embedment. When using the supplied anchors, keep no more than 2 ¼ inches exposed above the floor grade to ensure proper holding strength once installed.
