Bright Assist Arms

Make tough tires easy.

A Bright assist arm bolts onto your Bright tire changer and does the pushing and holding for you on stiff low-profile and run-flat tires. Less effort, faster changes and safer rims.

The AL335 right arm must be installed together with a PL330 left arm. The Bright 8630 comes with dual assist arms standard, and the leverless Bright 897 doesn't need one.

Why add an assist arm?

Low-profile and run-flat tires keep getting more common. An assist arm makes them routine.

Save your back

The arm presses and holds the bead, so you're not fighting stiff sidewalls with your hands and a tire iron.

Faster changes

Tough tires go on in less time, and one tech can handle jobs that used to take two.

Protect the rim

Steady, controlled pressure means fewer slips and less risk of scratching expensive wheels.

Questions

Can I add an assist arm to a machine I already own?

Yes. Bright assist arms bolt onto compatible Bright tire changers. Check the chart above, or call us with your model number and we'll confirm the right arm.

Do I need both the PL330 and AL335?

The PL330 left arm works on its own. The AL335 right arm adds a second arm for full two-arm assist, but it must be installed together with a PL330.

What's the difference between a top-mount and a side arm?

Top-mount arms (PL230, PL240) attach above the turntable and press the bead down from above. Side arms (PL330, AL335) mount beside the machine and add a lifting disc and centering tool for more control on the toughest tires.

Will these fit a non-Bright tire changer?

No. These arms are designed for Bright machines. For Atlas tire changers, see our tire changer accessories.

Is installation difficult?

Most shops install an arm themselves in an afternoon. If you'd like help, call us and we'll walk you through it or connect you with an installer.

Not sure which arm you need?

Tell us your tire changer model and we'll point you to the right arm. Or come see them in person at our Daleville, Indiana showroom.
