Product Description

The Atlas Garage PRO8000EXT is built for the most common storage setup we see: a car on top and an SUV or pickup parked underneath. It provides 79" of clearance under the raised runways, 12" more than the standard PRO8000.

Many taller lifts get their height by adding runway length, which eats up garage space. The PRO8000EXT keeps the same compact footprint as the PRO8000, 17' 2.75" long with the ramp, while lifting higher. If you need the extra height and also want longer runways, take a look at the PRO8000EXT-L.

Free plastic drip trays, a steel jack tray, and a caster kit with polyurethane wheels come standard, and the casters go on or come off in minutes. It runs on 110V with no 220V wiring needed, but Atlas requires a 30 amp breaker, so check your garage circuit before it arrives. The PRO8000EXT is built for home garages, car collectors, and restoration shops rather than commercial shops that cycle a lift many times a day. Many owners add the Atlas RJ35 bridge jack to lift the wheels free for service.

Questions before you buy

Should I get the PRO8000EXT or the PRO9000?

The PRO8000EXT is rated for 8,000 lbs, with 80 1/2" of drive-thru and a 153 1/2" max wheelbase. That's the right size for cars, SUVs, and half-ton pickups. For 3/4-ton trucks, duallys, or long-bed crew cabs, step up to the Garage PRO9000.

Can I park a pickup under a car?

Often, yes. There's 79" of clearance under the runways. For your ceiling, add the height of the vehicle on top to the 84 1/4" lifting height, plus a few inches of room.

Does it need to be bolted to my floor?

No. It's freestanding and comes with a caster kit, so you can roll it to a new spot when it's lowered.

What kind of power does it need?

110V, with a 30 amp breaker required by Atlas. That's more than a typical 15 or 20 amp household circuit, so have yours checked or ask an electrician. Call us if you have questions.

What comes with it?

It comes with the caster kit, steel approach ramps, a steel jack tray, 4 drip trays, 4 wheel stops, and 2 wheel chocks. The only thing you'll need to buy is hydraulic oil, which you can get at a farm supply or auto parts store.

Can I pick it up at the showroom?

Yes. It's a 1,850 lb package about 14 feet long, so bring a car trailer or flatbed 16 feet or longer, and we'll load it for you.

What's the warranty?

2 years structural and 1 year on hydraulics (parts only).

Lift is great once I figured out how to put it together. There were no instructions and even the mfg. Instructions online were not great . Great customer service from Truman!

This lift was packaged extremely well and was easily transported and unpacked. The quality of the fitment of the hardware was very good and their ease of assembly was equally good. The build instructions, the graphics in particular, however, sucked. Luckily I have semblence of mechanical aptitude as was able to figure out what needed to happen. This didn't keep me from rating it the maximum amount of stars and it won't keep me from recommending the lift to others - or even purchasing a second one for my own needs. However, I'd recommend adding additional, clearer graphics for future buyers. Also, I wanted to note that both Grant and Nick from Truman Equipment were fantastic to work with! They exhibited excellent communication skills and a genuine sense of customer service - a trait sorely lacking in almost every service industry post-Covid. Their excellence really solidified the deal for me purchasing this lift.

After cross shopping Halo, Titan, and Atlas 4 post lifts what won me over was being able to see and touch the lift in person to ensure it met my needs and expectations. Grant was patient with me, answering all of my questions when calling just a few minutes before close on a Monday. I made it in person 9am on Saturday and was loaded and ready to go by 9:30! There was another couple on the showroom floor and Grant did a nice job going back and forth to ensure we had all of the relevant info before I left.

The fork truck driver is skilled, was able to lower the load over my 12” side rails and had it perfectly centered on my 16’ utility trailer.

Having a fully assembled lift less than 48 hours after finalizing my decision that I needed one, and at a great price, puts Truman at the top of my list.

The lift was fairly easy to install with the help of YouTube videos. The instructions provided were lacking in many specifics. This is the only area of improvement that I can think of.
